In Australia is the Privacy Act 1988, which governs the handling of personal information by Australian government agencies and private sector organizations. It sets out the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) that regulate the collection, use, disclosure, and storage of personal information by entities covered by the Act. The Privacy Act also established the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the regulatory body responsible for privacy matters.
In Hong Kong, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) is the main legislation governing the protection of personal data. The PDPO sets out principles for the collection, use, and handling of personal data by both the public and private sectors. It establishes the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) as the oversight body responsible for promoting and enforcing compliance with the PDPO.
In the Philippines, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), which regulates the processing of personal information in both the government and private sectors. The law sets out the rights of individuals and the obligations of data controllers and processors. The National Privacy Commission (NPC) is the agency tasked with implementing and enforcing the Data Privacy Act.
In the United States, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for children's online privacy.

The kinds of information we collect includes name, address, date of birth, business interests and directorships, court information such as claims and judgements, and other similar types of information. When our Client makes a request for information about a person, we aggregate and connect information in real time to create new derivative information.
The kinds of information we collect about our Clients and our Clients’ employees, that is, users of our website, products, services, information or any data within them (collectively, the Products), include name, contact details and information about the use of our Products. This information is collected only to manage the access and use of our Products and is never incorporated into our searchable information.
The kinds of information we collect about applicants for employment and employees include name, contact information, and other information relevant to assessing suitability for employment and maintaining the employment relationship.
We collect information from various sources, including public sources (such as ABN search), government organisations (such as ASIC), courts and tribunals, businesses and other similar types of organisations that lawfully collect and hold information.
We only collect information that is necessary to provide our Products. We do not collect sensitive information as this is not relevant to our Products.
We collect information when our Client makes a request for information about one or more persons. Our Clients are legally and contractually required to comply with Privacy Laws in respect of their use of our Products, including having the legal right to collect and use information about a person.

We collect information about applicants for employment when they contact us or we contact them to discuss possible future employment. We collect information during employment directly from our employees and their use of our systems and technology.
We have implemented security procedures and technologies to safeguard information that we hold from unauthorised access, misuse, modification and disclosure.
Our data is stored on secure servers based in Australia. They adhere to high security standards, including firewalls and encryption. Our platform incorporates industry-standard security patterns to optimise the protection of data and applications, including the use of secure servers in a SSAE16 certified data centre and encryption through Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology when transmitting sensitive information. Our data storage and processing is limited to authorised personnel with special access rights and who are required to keep the information confidential.
We maintain a record of all access requests to our Products, which includes the Client and user, the data accessed and the date of the access to ensure accountability and compliance with Privacy Laws.
Our data is never stored on overseas servers. When a Client undertakes a data wash, the Client data is never incorporated into our data, and it is never disclosed overseas. Like most businesses, there can be incidental disclosure of data to overseas countries such as the United States, Philippines and Hong Kong. This is predominantly for our business support purposes. Where this occurs, we continue to take steps to ensure the management of information to the same standard as the Privacy Laws.
We collect, hold, use and disclose information so that we can provide our Products to our Clients. Our Clients include finance companies, insurance companies, debt collectors, debt buyers, law firms and other businesses that have a legitimate, genuine and lawful purpose for searching a range of data sources via a single search tool with us.
We do not use or disclose personal information for direct marketing purposes.
We may be required or authorised by law to disclose personal information to law enforcement agencies or government departments.
We collect, hold, use and disclose information about our Clients and users to manage our Client relationships, provide our Products and monitor compliance with Privacy Laws.
We collect, hold, use and disclose information about applicants for employment and employees to resource and manage our business.
Individuals have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about them. The requests can be made through our support contact form or by email to [email protected]. There is no charge for making the request, however a reasonable fee may be charged for collecting, preparing and providing the requested information.
We will make every effort to comply with requests for access within a reasonable timeframe, however in some cases an exemption may apply or the law may otherwise prevent us from providing access. This may occur where providing access may pose a risk to the life, health or safety of any individual, have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of another person, or be frivolous or unlawful.
If we deny access, where possible we will advise of the reasons for the refusal and details about the complaint process.

We endeavour to respond to complaints within a reasonable timeframe. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a privacy complaint to us, you have the option to escalate your complaint to the privacy commissioner in your respective country.
